Trauma & Recovery

Kindness and Empathy

Research continues to show that the best outcome of the therapeutic relationship occurs when there is empathy. This positive difference fosters the integration of a healthy self-perception and belief. By exploring our past unhealthy behaviors and experiences clients often discover a new way to implement mindful patterns and healthy behaviors. Self trust and is a by product of building new neural pathways that strengthen over time and replace the old self-deprecating beliefs.

Repetition and consistency reinforce these new neural networks and override those that were not filled with choices that reflect love of self and the highest form of living. Many of the therapeutic modalities I use are designed to resolve nervous system deregulation, release body memories, regulate sleep cycles, take healthy risks, and develop healthy and conscious connection's with others. All of these and more, when presented with consistent, kind, and empathetic care, assist the process of neuroplasticity and lasting recovery.
